Balanced Body, Balanced Mind: The Art of Meditation Posture

A stable, relaxed meditation posture is essential to deepening our meditation. Join Marc Ross, doctor of chiropractic medicine and long time meditator for this interactive workshop where we will explore how to find balance and ease as we meditate. We will learn the fine points of seated and supine postures and experiment with many types of cushions and support.

When: Tuesday, August 22, 6:30 to 8:30pm
Where: Diamond Light Tibetan Buddhist Group, 2791 24th Street, Room 14, Sacramento CA 95818
Cost: free, donations gratefully accepted.
What to wear: loose, comfortable, non-restricting clothing. This is really important!
What to bring: all your cushions and supports, we will be trying out many different types to settle on the ones that are most comfortable for our unique bodies.

About the teacher: Marc Ross has practiced physical medicine for 37 years and has been meditating for 30 years. He has taught meditation in America and in Europe. Marc was introduced to Buddhism and meditation through the study of yoga in the mid 1990’s. Since then he has been blessed to study the teachings of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Alan Wallace along with several other Lamas. He has practiced Chiopractic Medicine and other healing modalities for 37 years, & has been teaching meditation in the US and Europe.
