Deep Dive into Emptiness – with Heather Breault

October 11, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

10 Wednesdays August 30-November 1, 6:30pm-8:30pm

We perceive the world as “out there”, with people and events happening to us with out our control. Perhaps things don’t exist the way we think they do, and understanding that the world isn’t “out there” separate from us, but actually “empty” and ready for our minds to project our world on to it is a tool for powerful transformation!

Have you heard the word “emptiness” and wondered what it means? Maybe you’ve studied the concept and still have questions? This in-depth course will cover the concept of emptiness from start to finish. This topic is the key to endless possibilities in our personal and spiritual lives. This ancient wisdom has the power to transform our worlds beyond our wildest imagination.

Each class will include prayers, teachings, discussion and meditation

Topics include: how the direct perception of emptiness is accomplished, what happens after the direct perception of emptiness, how understanding emptiness leads to the destruction of mental afflictions, how the direct perception of emptiness leads to full enlightenment and paradise, emptiness and the two extremes, how empty things function, emptiness and purification, the relationship between emptiness and karma, emptiness and the bodies of a Buddha, what is non-duality, how a bodhisattva should live, the future of Buddha’s teachings, and the perfection of wisdom.
