The beginning of winter can be challenging with the time change bringing darkness early in the evenings, the shortening of daylight hours, colder weather, and a shift in our rhythms as nature slows down around us. How do we hold our hearts with care as we travel through this winter? How do we find connection and belonging while caving at home?
Each session will be a combination of body awareness meditations and felt-sense listening practices to slow down and invite the grace/mystery that allows things to be as they are. Body awareness can withdraw energy from our busy, stimulated minds to help us find the open space of the present moment.
In the words of Rachel Naomi Remen – “The most basic and powerful way to connect to another person is to listen. Just listen. Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention..A loving silence often has far more power to heal and to connect than the most well-intentioned words.”
This event is offered for free. We welcome donations you can make without hardship ($10-$20 ). This will help us cover ongoing rent for our Center, fees to provide online services, and supporting our teachers. Thank you.
