The Way of Compassion is the way of happiness. Research studies show that meditation strengthens brain connections and functioning that calm fear and anger and meditating on love and compassion is associated with feelings of happiness. In this series of classes (four Wednesday evenings), Geshe Tsultrim will guide us in making compassion part of our daily lives.

Geshe Lobsang Tsultrim is part of the Gaden Shartse Monastery in south India. “Geshe” is a monastic degree similar to a PhD that is earned after decades of intensive study and passing the highest-level exams. Geshe Tsultrim is an expert on Buddhist philosophy and a skilled artist, specializing in traditional Tibetan art.

In 2001, Gaden Shartse sent Geshe Tsultrim to the US to continue his studies and to work at the Gaden Shartse Thubten Dhargye Ling Center in Long Beach, CA. Geshe-la returned to south India to complete his next level of studies at Gyudmed Tantric University. In 2015, Geshe Tsultrim returned to the US to resume teaching traditional Buddhist philosophy as well as travelling and teaching internationally in the Americas and Europe.
